Thanks to your donation my students were able to better prepare for their District unit test, and they outperformed their peers across the county! \r\n\r\nThe LED tablets came in the week before our first unit test. Students were worried because they were not feeling confident about taking the test. This is understandable because they performed below the district average for the baseline test. No matter the assurances that I gave them, they were still reluctant to meet this new challenge head on. \r\n\r\nWhen the tablets came in, I knew that they needed to be put to use right away. As part of our review for the unit test, I conduct an activity called \"30 second Art\" where I tell the class a concept and they have to draw it. Using the LED tablets was amazing! Not only did every student have a tablet (a new luxury because I used to have students using the main white board due to the fact that I did not have enough mini whiteboards) but there was no time lost getting students a writing utensil. All students were able to start the assignment immediately and clean up was a breeze. Students began making visual diagrams of the concepts that they learned in 30 seconds or less. As the class progressed, the confidence within each student grew.\r\n\r\nWhen it came time to take the test, students were now more confident, and their confidence translated to their test scores. Almost every student scored higher than they did on the initial baseline test. The average score in each testing group was higher than the district average in all three programs. Students knew they did well and were rewarded for their hard work. \r\n\r\nThis happened because you took your time and money and donated to make a difference in my students' lives. My students are more confident, and they are able to demonstrate with ease that they know the material that they learned about.","fullyFundedDate":1755878240874,"projectUrl":"project/lighting-up-science/9576049/","projectTitle":"Lighting up Science","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Berkley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10169490"},{"teacherId":625386,"projectId":9168925,"letterContent":"I am beyond grateful for your generosity in funding my Donors Choose project!
