My students are using the gym equipment to stay active, practice teamwork, and build coordination and motor skills. The LEGO materials give them opportunities to create, problem-solve, use their imaginations, and work together.\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, they were incredibly excited! They immediately wanted to explore everything and began sharing ideas about what they could build and how they could use the equipment. One of my favorite moments has been watching students work together with the LEGOs, communicating, sharing, solving problems, and trying again when their first ideas didn't work.\r\nOur next steps are to continue using the LEGO materials for creative building and problem-solving challenges while incorporating the new gym equipment into movement and cooperative games. Students will continue learning how to encourage one another, work as a team, and challenge themselves both physically and creatively.
