Your generosity gave my students the tools to turn their ideas into real garments. When the materials arrived, the students' faces lit up. They rushed to unpack the sewing machines and dress forms and started planning designs right away.\r\n\r\nLast year we started with just 10 students. With your materials, they designed and built their own projects and ended the year with a fashion show for the whole school. I watched them walk the runway with pride, and I watched classmates and teachers see them in a completely new light. The impact didn't stop there. This year, more than 20 students want to join the club. Many are now exploring careers in fashion, and some of my shyest students have truly blossomed. They found a community where they belong.\r\n\r\nThe students are now thinking even bigger. This year they plan to host more fashion shows, and they are currently choosing the theme for the first one. They are also using the materials to make charms and accessories to sell, raising their own money for fabric and decorations. They have even planning on started a fashion column in the school newspaper, sharing ideas on Halloween costumes, ways to revamp the school uniform, and the latest trends.
