The Fumete pencils, Oxford notebooks, and Artellius erasers allowed every student to come prepared, confident, and focused. Having access to reliable materials meant we could spend more time on meaningful instruction and less time managing supply shortages.\r\n\r\nOne specific project that highlighted this growth was our \"Math Masters\" challenge, where students worked in teams to solve multi-step word problems and track their thinking in their new spiral notebooks. The first team to buzz in and answer correctly earns a point, fostering a high-energy and engaging review session.\r\n\r\nMini Lesson Plan: Buzzer-Beating Fractions\r\n\r\nObjective: Students will be able to quickly calculate and simplify fractions using mental math under timed conditions.\r\n\r\nMaterials: Retekess Buzzer System, Whiteboards, Markers, Fraction Problem Cards (e.g., simplifying 4/8, adding 1/2 + 1/4).\r\n\r\nProcedure:\r\n\r\nIntroduction (5 minutes): Briefly review key fraction concepts and simplification techniques.\r\nTeam Formation (5 minutes): Divide the class into two or more teams.\r\nBuzzer Practice (5 minutes): Allow each team to practice using the buzzer system to ensure familiarity.\r\nFraction Challenge (20 minutes): Present fraction problems one at a time.
