My 4th grade students have the opportunity to earn recess every day through positive behavior and hard work. This has encouraged them to work hard on a daily basis and be good role models in the classroom in order to earn recess. Now that the weather in Buffalo has turned colder, our ability to go outside had ended and adding games to our classroom seemed like a great option.\r\n\r\nI wish you could have heard the excitement and curiosity when the box of games arrived at the school. My students had no idea what was inside. As I revealed each and every game, one by one, the excitement built. My students couldn't believe how many new games they now had the ability to play during indoor recess. \r\n\r\nIt has been a pleasure to watch my students interact with each other while using the new games. They have grown both socially and academically right in front of my eyes because of the daily opportunity to collaborate with each other.
