The new materials you helped provide—colored pencils, markers, and essential lab supplies—have made a huge difference in how my students engage with science. We've been using the art supplies to bring science concepts to life through detailed diagrams, interactive lab notebooks, and creative models. Most recently, during our unit on ecosystems, students used the materials to create food web posters, allowing them to visualize and explain the complex relationships in an ecosystem in a way that was both scientifically accurate and creatively expressive.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies first arrived, my students were thrilled. For many of them, having access to fresh, high-quality materials like colorful markers and lab tools made them feel like they could produce their best work. That sense of pride has been powerful, and it's helped motivate students to dig deeper into their investigations and take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're building on this excitement as we prepare for our upcoming science fair projects. Students will be using the lab supplies for experiments and the art materials to create eye-catching and informative displays of their scientific findings. Your support has made these meaningful, hands-on learning experiences possible, and we are so grateful. You've helped our students see themselves as scientists and creators, and that impact will last far beyond this school year.","fullyFundedDate":1695597965071,"projectUrl":"project/learning-by-creating/7810099/","projectTitle":"Learning by Creating","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Lane","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9262762"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_69523","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":110,"numTeachers":3,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":56,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":32,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"36.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.2,"schoolId":69523,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Englewood Leadership Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Englewood Leadership Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/englewood-school-district-1/englewood-leadership-academy/69523"}
