Your support provided the essential materials our students needed to build, organize, and refine their competition robot while experiencing the engineering design process firsthand.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies arrived, the excitement in our makerspace was contagious. Students immediately began organizing wiring with the VELCRO and zip ties, fabricating custom robot components from the aluminum tubing, and safely assembling mechanisms using their new safety equipment. Even the snacks became an important part of our long after-school build sessions, keeping students energized as they collaborated, tested ideas, solved problems, and encouraged one another.\r\n\r\nThese resources helped our team earn multiple awards throughout the season, including the award we are most proud of—the Rising All-Star Award. This recognition celebrates a young team that demonstrates exceptional growth, teamwork, and potential, and your support played a meaningful role in helping our students reach that milestone.\r\n\r\nOne of the most rewarding moments came when students successfully redesigned part of the robot using the aluminum square tubing after identifying weaknesses during testing. They measured, cut, assembled, and refined the new design together, experiencing firsthand how perseverance, collaboration, and engineering lead to better solutions.\r\n\r\nAs we look ahead, our students are already preparing for next season. They are evaluating this year's robot, documenting what they learned, mentoring new team members, and brainstorming innovative designs that will build upon this year's success. Every lesson learned and every skill developed brings them one step closer to becoming tomorrow's engineers, technicians, programmers, and problem-solvers.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and investing in their future. Your generosity has done far more than provide supplies—it has inspired confidence, opened doors to meaningful STEM experiences, and shown our students that their community believes in their dreams.","fullyFundedDate":1769011548414,"projectUrl":"project/techno-talons-robotics-essential-suppli/10042174/","projectTitle":"Techno Talons Robotics: Essential Supplies for STEM Innovation","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nelson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp359880_orig.jpg?crop=1280,1280,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1773077268344","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/359880"},{"teacherId":8402771,"projectId":9505540,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, my students are experiencing reading in a way many of them never have before. When the new books arrived, the excitement in the room was immediate—students hovered around the boxes, eager to hold a real story in their hands. For many of them, reading has been something that happens on a screen. These books have reminded them—sometimes for the very first time—what it feels like to settle in, turn a page, and be completely absorbed.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is now a daily ritual. Students begin class by choosing a quiet spot, opening their book, and letting the room soften to a gentle hush. With their newly covered, well-cared-for copies, they dive into rich texts that introduce essential skills: analyzing characters' decisions, identifying themes, tracking how authors build tension, and drawing connections between the text and their own lives. Because we all have the same edition, we can pause together to annotate, revisit important passages, and discuss the moments where a character's choices reveal what makes a good friend, a brave leader, or a compassionate human.\r\n\r\nYour gift has helped recreate that sensory, meaningful experience of reading a physical book—something many of us adults treasure, but that many kids today rarely get. The rustle of pages, the weight of the story in their hands, the feeling that each page turned is a step deeper into a journey—my students now know that joy.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving them stories they can hold, return to, and carry forward. Your support has made reading feel real, personal, and full of possibility.","fullyFundedDate":1755705104029,"projectUrl":"project/stocking-bookshelves-sparking-minds/9505540/","projectTitle":"Stocking Bookshelves, Sparking Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Robinson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8402771_orig.jpg?crop=1690,1690,x1300,y1180&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754439050851","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8402771"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_70929","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":256,"numTeachers":17,"percentFrplEligible":86,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":72,"percentIndigenous":14,"percentLatinx":3,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":7,"gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":71.4,"schoolId":70929,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Engadine School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Engadine School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/engadine-consolidated-school-district/engadine-high-school/70929"}
