The beautiful pictures with the paint sticks, the amazing sculptures with the play dough and the scrap art are decorating our room and the kids homes!! We love it all!!\r\n I also can't express the gratitude my families shown when they took home the Bridge Books for summer learning. It is very hard for working families to find affordable fun and educational fun for the kids in the summers. These books offer the students both fun and learning opportunities! We have kids who come to school without the proper hats, mittens, socks and warm sweaters to keep warm and we opened the bags and started handing the new items out immediately. Our program requires we take the kids out to get some fresh air and move their bodies and now we can do it with certain they will be warm as bugs in a rug! The socks were a big hit too! Cute and warm. Can't get better then that.\r\nAgain we thank all the donors who helped fund this project and can't wait for Spring to be here!! The kids are using their imaginations and we have seen castles, sky scrapers and shopping malls!! They are working in pairs so much better, sharing and talking about what they can create together! We even have sparked story telling with the new Lego books that we put out in the block area. They ask for a teacher to read them and then try to build something from the story!
