Now that we are a few months into the school year, I'd like to share some of the ways we have been using the materials. \r\nThe students we so excited to receive the packages! We got to experiment with all of the tools, which included pop-its, weighted balls, chair bands, and other fidgets. One of the favorite things is the weighted butterfly. We keep it in our \"calm down\" corner, and students can use it to help with self-regulation. \r\nI found multiple uses for the pop-its. We have been using them in small groups during phonics, as well as math. We use them to \"pop\" the sounds in words to help us spell, and we can use them to add numbers. They allow for a multi-sensory approach to learning! \r\nAll of these tools will continue to be used throughout the school year.
