The students have been making a large Letter Project. One of my students made a spiderman letter that was large and she used the new ceramic glaze colors. They came out perfect! She loved the shine, color, and the spider man look. \r\nThe students felt excited, motivated, and interested in what they will look like moving forward on our new projects. We are also going to make ornaments and most have some good ideas already on what they'll use. The student will be eager to create ornaments and some cool holiday projects that resemble holiday festivities, traditions, and iconic symbols. The students are enjoying the holiday times and are going to enjoy spreading cheer with their holiday projects! \r\nWe are all very happy and looking forward to the new glazes, brushes, and supplies that will help us make more great projects the rest of the school year! I am not sure we would have had enough glazes to make it through the year. We are greatful that we were able to get these new supplies!!","fullyFundedDate":1761605826183,"projectUrl":"project/ceramic-glazes-for-everyone/9857097/","projectTitle":"Ceramic Glazes for Everyone","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Richardson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6724630_orig.jpg?crop=403,403,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1566819083188","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6724630"},{"teacherId":6724630,"projectId":8938913,"letterContent":"My students will use these resources to create Printmaking Art Projects. This project relates to real life as this is an introduction to how graphic artists make T-shirts, art logos, graphic design, and imprint ideas. Students will be using the Linoleum you bought to carve out designs with their Gouges that we already have. The Printmaking Ink that you bought will be used with the Brayers that we already have and ink blocks to be able to add colors to their designs and printout colorful logos and prints. \r\n\r\nThe students love to do this and right now I have an upper level student that is making a Lager Print that is speaking volumes with her art concentration. Her design is a fish with a boarder of prints as well that speaks to wildlife conservation and keeping nature clean. The print is really coming along and I will have the finished version pictured for you. I will also have the other projects that my Art I students will be making in the coming weeks when we start our Printmaking Lessons. \r\n\r\nThe materials are always appreciated by my students because they are aware of our situation as we don't have the funds to often do what we want. However, our teachers at EHS really do make sure our kids find ways or we find ways working with the much appreciated help from our community to give our students at least a small taste of different experiences. These are one of those experiences that is brought to life with the help from our community and donors and the students always enjoy the process of this printmaking project. It brings to life what realistic art is and the hands on process it provides help students grasp this concept fully. \r\n\r\nMany students ask how this project is made once they see the final projects and pieces hanging in our art showcases. Once they get to partake in this experience 95% of my art students thoroughly enjoy this process. Most love this way of making art so much that they ask and find ways to continue doing this kind of art on their own and at home.","fullyFundedDate":1738451440470,"projectUrl":"project/help-support-our-students-printmaking-ar/8938913/","projectTitle":"Help Support Our Students Printmaking Art Project!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Richardson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6724630_orig.jpg?crop=403,403,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1566819083188","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6724630"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_39233","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":747,"numTeachers":47,"percentFrplEligible":87,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":94,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":61.3,"schoolId":39233,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Elkins High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Elkins High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/west-virginia/randolph-county-school-district/elkins-high-school/39233"}
