This project has helped my students so much, specifically with their attention, participation, and their overall feeling of being understood and welcomed for their differences. \r\n\r\nMy students' attention to lessons and activities has increased significantly since the project you funded was delivered. They are able to move around or fidget in their seats now in a way that does not distract other learners. They are less distracted by things in their desk, things around the room, or daydreaming.\r\n\r\nThe day that the donated items were taken out of the boxes, I let the kids know that people had been so kind and caring and thought that they were awesome kids who deserved some awesome things. They felt so seen, understood, and cared for by complete strangers. Many of my students want the items to be given to a new group of students each week! It's incredible how much joy this project has brought them, as well as me. \r\n\r\nThe colored stools have helped so much with seating at our small group table. Students no longer have to go through the shuffling of picking up their chair and carrying it across the room, trying not to hit other students. Small groups time is only 30 minutes, so having the ability to start a lesson right away with the new stools has absolutely benefited my students learning. \r\n\r\nThe office chair is so amazing! This has freed up an older chair that now the star of the week each week gets to sit in the special chair for the entire week. The kids get so excited for their turn to come! \r\n\r\nAgain, I cannot thank you enough. My first graders and I are so grateful for your kindness and compassion. You have helped teach these 26 kids that people don't even have to know them to care about them. They just know that they are worth it, just for being them. You have changed many little minds in the process of this donation. Thank you once again and I am so grateful that people like this are in our communities and want to help as much as they can to build up teachers like me and students like mine.
