These posters will be designed and created solely by students. The students love the new sensory toys, and we used the divider to block off an area that is not safe to play in so the students no it's not available. Everyone seems particularly fond of the busy board-- staff and students all love to play with the buttons/switches and see what happens. It's been regulating for all of us! \r\n\r\nThis year, we are very fortunate to have 2 rooms for sensory needs, one for movement and playing with the new toys provided, and one as a calm down space. The calm down room is new and very much a work in progress, so apologies for the lack of pictures! My students and myself are loving both so much. We use our classroom rug throughout the school day for read alouds, mini lessons, small group work, partner work, and games. Students find the rug engaging and fun. They like the choice to choose which color smiley face to sit on. \r\n\r\nOur book nook area has become one of my favorite spots in my classroom.
