The new storage resources have helped us create clear spaces for materials, making it easier for students to find what they need and safely move around the room. Many of my students are working on independence and fine motor skills, and these materials give them daily opportunities to practice opening bins, sorting toys, and putting materials away during clean-up time.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were very excited and curious. They immediately wanted to explore the bins and help organize the classroom. One of my favorite moments was during center time when a student proudly opened a container by himself and placed the blocks back in the correct bin during clean-up. For many of my students, these small steps are big accomplishments that build confidence and important life skills.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our classroom routines, students are now learning to take more responsibility for their learning space. We are practicing sorting activities, fine motor tasks, and following visual clean-up routines that support both organization and independence. Thanks to your support, my students now have a classroom environment that promotes safety, structure, and success every day.\r\n\r\nThank you for making a meaningful difference in the lives of my little learners!","fullyFundedDate":1765485269142,"projectUrl":"project/safe-spaces-strong-skills-building-ind/9950158/","projectTitle":"Safe Spaces, Strong Skills: Building Independence in SPED Pre-K","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Faraj","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6939311"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_82051","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":300,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":76,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":27,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":69,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":1,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 3","studentTeacherRatio":"10.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.7,"schoolId":82051,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Edward W Kilpatrick Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Edward W Kilpatrick Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/paterson-public-schools/edward-w-kilpatrick-elementary-school/82051"}
