While laminators may seem like a simple tool, in a school setting they play an important role in making instruction more engaging, organized, and accessible.\r\n\r\nTeachers are using the laminator to preserve frequently used materials so students can interact with them again and again without them wearing out. In world language classrooms, teachers have shared how helpful it has been for laminating reusable readings, vocabulary activities, and instruction cards. Students are able to reference these materials daily, use them in stations or group work, and focus more on learning rather than managing fragile paper resources.\r\n\r\nOur Special Education MAAS department has also embraced this new resource. Staff are laminating manipulatives, visual supports, and hands-on learning tools that help students practice skills in structured and accessible ways. These materials are now more durable and easier for students to use independently, which supports confidence and consistency in learning.\r\n\r\nBeyond the classroom, our site safety teams have used the laminator to create long-lasting maps, signage, and expectation posters. These laminated visuals are now displayed throughout the building, helping students better understand procedures and contributing to a safer, more organized school environment.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting is seeing how quickly this tool has been adopted across departments. Students benefit from clearer instructions, engaging visuals, and materials that are designed to last. This project has strengthened instruction, supported diverse learners, and improved school-wide organization all because of your generosity.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping provide a resource that is already making a lasting difference for our students and staff.","fullyFundedDate":1763567475080,"projectUrl":"project/lasting-learning-a-school-laminator-for/9696672/","projectTitle":"Lasting Learning: A School Laminator for All","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Madrigal","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7772251_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763512608970","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ezequiel-madrigal"},{"teacherId":9968301,"projectId":9714498,"letterContent":"Thank you all so much for your support. Students that may have been afraid to speak up were able to use their whiteboards to respond to questions and participate, and the clipboards helped connect physical movement in the classroom with active learning. \r\n\r\nThese supplies will be incredibly beneficial for allowing more movement and connection between students, as we will be working on honing our reading and writing skills.
