We have some students that take sensory breaks as a part of their schedule every single day in order to prepare their minds and bodies for instruction, and some students that use the sensory room as needed when they are having a tough day, but both situations are equally as important to providing a quality education to students with disabilities. Our students have shown exceptional growth because of their access to the correct sensory supports. \r\n\r\nInput like spinning, jumping, and swinging quickly can activate a child's sensory system, allowing a child with lower attention to focus more easily. Activities like climbing into the cuddle box for deep pressure, rocking, or hiding in the sensory tent slow down students' sensory systems, allowing overly activated students to calm and focus. Both of these situations are solved by your generous donations. You do not know how grateful we are to you.
