The impact that this makes for my classroom is tremendous. I have about 30 seats in my room and use laptops everyday either for lessons, guided practice or assessments. Despite my district providing 1 charger for my students, they are responsible for bringing that charger with them everyday. At times if they forget the charger or the charger breaks, students are unable to use their laptops once the battery dies out. Having 1 charger per desk has allowed me to get right into instruction and not waste time managing chargers. \r\n\r\nWith the wear and tear of having 5 to 6 students use the charger daily the chargers do start to malfunction. From a previos donors choose project I was donated a class set and having to replace them has been a daunting task. Also any additional chargers I would need to purchase. Having these extra chargers makes it so much easier on me as it guarantees my student will always have access to technology.
