I have already put it to good use. I know you studied physics in college, so you know the material can be pretty tricky, especially for these high school students taking AP. The College Board makes the problems super challenging. I pride myself on getting the most engagement and teaching students the skills to succeed. One of these is the skill of reading complicated text! So many students nowadays go through school and really do not read or learn complex material from texts. They prefer watching videos or being directly told. Reading is key to success in college, and a skill that needs to be fostered and developed. The textbooks we have are not aligned with the AP content. Most of the textbooks are new editions of material that was written in the 70s. \r\nI posted a few pictures. You can see the printer set up. Some students have been helping me print and bind each unit. We are currently in unit 5 of 8. I just finished writing Unit 6, so I will be printing those out after the holidays. I have two more units to write, Simple Harmonic Motion and Fluid Dynamics. After that, I am done! Will feel so great to finish, but then I am on to writing a book for AP Physics 2 ( Thermo, Circuits, Waves, Modern). I will take a rest before I dive into that! Thanks again. I really appreciate the help. Your money went a long way and directly impacted students.","fullyFundedDate":1760745558453,"projectUrl":"project/ap-physics-1-with-no-need-for-a-screen/9754220/","projectTitle":"AP Physics 1 , with No Need for a Screen!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Phillips","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10276926"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_59388","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2710,"numTeachers":119,"percentFrplEligible":45,"percentAsian":17,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":20,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":50,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"22.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":92.7,"schoolId":59388,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Eastlake High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Eastlake High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/sweetwater-union-high-school-district/eastlake-high-school/59388"}
