We were able to purchase the giant size playground games that the students wanted and they have been a hit!! They are responsible for bringing the equipment out and for bringing it back in. It is fun to see them playing games and having fun learning new ones. Your donations also funded the purchase of new headphones- in two different styles- for my students. We use an online learning program once weekly that requires headphones. I was able to purchase enough headphones for all three of my classes to have their own!!!\r\n\r\nI can't put into words how much the support of this community impacts my students. Every time I tell them we had something funded from strangers, they are just amazed. Their eyes lit up with excitement the moment they realized they could write directly on the tabletops. We immediately began using the tables for spelling and vocabulary activities, and their engagement soared! Students practiced writing playground words, checking their spelling, and challenging each other to come up with new words. What once felt like routine spelling practice turned into an energetic and collaborative experience where everyone wanted a turn to write on the tables.\r\n These tables have truly transformed the way my students interact with writing. They feel free to take risks, erase mistakes, and keep trying—all while having fun. Our next steps are to expand from spelling and vocabulary to sentence writing and short stories directly on the tables before transferring their work to paper. The sense of ownership and creativity these tables have inspired is remarkable.
