The kindergarten students are not quite ready to use the materials to blend and make words yet. However, they will be using them very soon! I did show them the materials when they were coloring their thank you notes, and they were very enthusiastic to start using them very soon! They were so excited and can't wait to learn to blend words with the new manipulatives!\r\n\r\nWith it being the beginning of kindergarten, my students are currently focusing on writing names and starting to learn a few letters. Once they have learned a few letters and sounds, they will proceed to use the magnets and tiles to create many words both at my reading group and independent stations. I have many ideas and uses for these learning tools. Students will be able to manipulate and create many new words, rhyming words, and CVC words. I'm so excited for my students to dive right in to utilize these materials. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generosity. Your kindness will impact many current and future students. I am so grateful that there are math and reading games to help students with their kindergarten skills.\r\nWe played the game together so we could make sure that everyone knew the rules, and these games will be part of our learning stations. At the stations, students will be able to independently practice these new skills using the learning games purchased with your generous donation. \r\nI can't thank you enough for helping my current and future students learn and grow through such a fun game. We are usually reading photocopied stories which do not have color illustrations, and they were so happy to see the color illustrations in a \"real book!\" \r\nThese books will be used for many years to come by students to help practice blends and digraphs! The inside-recess games have brought so much joy to our classroom—students now use this time to collaborate, problem-solve, and build friendships. One of my favorite moments was watching a group of students eagerly teach a new classmate how to play one of our card games.\r\n\r\nThe storage bags, snacks, and flu-season supplies have made our days smoother and healthier. Students feel proud keeping their materials organized, and the hand sanitizer has become part of our daily routines as they remind one another to keep our classroom germ-free. The new books for our library and calm cart were met with huge excitement, and students immediately began exploring new stories and finding cozy spots to read or reset.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be using these books in our upcoming reading units for book clubs and independent reading time. The games and calm cart tools will continue supporting students during transitions and big-feeling moments.
