This has contributed to my efforts of creating a safe, inclusive space where everyone feels seen and knows their voice matters. We are endlessly grateful for your commitment to ensuring classrooms across America reflect the diverse interests, backgrounds, and needs of the amazing students we serve.\r\n\r\nHere are some ways in which the resources you helped fund have been used: \r\n\r\n- Instead of getting on their phones or playing games in their computers, students are encouraged to read if they finish classroom tasks early. A spark for reading for fun has been lit in many students from when they picked up a text and discovered a story that hooked their interest. \r\n\r\n- I have used the children's read-aloud texts to spark discussions about topics such as civil rights, how society views and treats people living with disabilities, and to also spotlight different cultures in the United States.
