We use it during morning meetings, read-alouds, small group lessons, and social-emotional learning activities. One especially meaningful moment was during a recent class discussion when students gathered on the rug to share ideas and listen to one another. They love having a designated, comfortable space helped them stay focused and respectful while building a sense of community.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the rug, they were so excited! They immediately noticed how colorful and inviting it was, and several students started using it right away. They even call each other out for getting it dirty! For many of them, having a special place to sit together made learning feel more fun and safe. The rug instantly became a space where students felt included and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, the rug will continue to play a big role in our classroom. Our next steps include using it more intentionally for collaborative lessons, partner discussions, and calming activities like mindfulness and reflection. The rug is helping students practice important skills such as listening, turn-taking, and cooperation.
