As of now, all of the bands are on student desks and being used! The students have access to them at all times; during instruction, free time, and any time they are in their classroom! Since putting them on the desks, I have noticed students staying in their seats more often. I also noticed that some students who have had more significant behavior difficulties in the past using them more frequently; they are learning to use it as a fidget to cope with any stressors or emotional difficulties they are having.\r\n\r\nWhen my students saw them for the first time, they were a little confused but excited! After going over some rules about the bands and demonstrating how to use them, the kids jumped right on in! I cannot thank you all enough. My students are so excited and happy. We still have work to do on how to appropriately use them and when to use them, but we are getting there!
