Your contribution has made a profound difference in our classroom and, most importantly, in the well-being of our students.\r\n\r\nThe standing desks and drafting chairs have been game-changers, both literally and figuratively! Our tech crew spends hours troubleshooting, disassembling, and reassembling devices. Previously, they were hunched over low tables or awkwardly perched on regular chairs, leading to backaches and fatigue. This not only led to physical discomfort but also contributed to a sense of being undervalued. They are the unsung heroes of our school's technology ecosystem, and their workspace didn't reflect their importance. Now, they can choose to stand or sit at an ergonomically designed drafting chair, adjusting the height to perfectly suit their needs. This has significantly improved their comfort and focus, allowing them to work more efficiently and effectively. We've noticed a significant improvement in their posture and overall physical well-being. Beyond the physical benefits, the standing desks have created a more dynamic and engaging learning environment. Students are more alert and focused, and they seem to have a renewed sense of enthusiasm for their work.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the standing desks and drafting chairs, we've witnessed a remarkable transformation. The students were absolutely thrilled when they first saw the new furniture! There were audible gasps of excitement and a rush to try out the different options. They immediately appreciated the ability to alternate between sitting and standing, and the drafting chairs have provided much-needed ergonomic support.\r\n\r\nPerhaps the most significant impact has been on the students' mental health. The combination of improved physical comfort, increased productivity, and a sense of being valued has created a more positive and supportive environment. Students feel less stressed and more confident in their abilities. They are also more likely to collaborate and support each other, fostering a strong sense of belonging. In a world where teen mental health is a growing concern, these positive changes are invaluable.\r\n \r\nYour generous donation has had a profound impact on our students and our school. You've not only provided them with the tools they need to succeed but have also shown them that their hard work and dedication are valued. Thank you for investing in their future and for making a tangible difference in their learning experience. We are truly grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1731080224839,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-teens-tech-skills-teen-ment/8817866/","projectTitle":"Empowering Teens: Tech Skills, Teen Mental Health Support and Flexibility","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Federowicz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9776426_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x524,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729267996943","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/eaufsdtechcrew"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_21891","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":537,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":11,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":93,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":21891,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about East Aurora High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"East Aurora High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/east-aurora-union-free-school-district/east-aurora-high-school/21891"}
