In 4th grade, students are creating monochromatic winter landscapes, and the sturdy, high-quality paper has allowed them to blend and layer without tearing, something that has opened the door for more creative risk-taking and richer final pieces. When students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited; several commented on how \"nice\" the paper felt and said it made them feel like real artists. Their excitement has translated into greater engagement, stronger effort, and a sense of pride in the work they are producing.\r\n\r\nThanks to this project, we now have enough paper to support every art project for the entire school year. This has lifted a huge burden and ensures that students can fully participate in upcoming lessons like 3rd grade's 3D construction project and 6th grade's Robin Mead-inspired landscapes without limitations. The reliability of having a full year's supply allows students to experiment, revise, and create without the fear of wasting materials, building perseverance, curiosity, and confidence in their abilities.\r\n\r\nWe are so deeply grateful for your generosity. Your support has made a meaningful and lasting difference in our classroom, giving every student the opportunity to experience high-quality artmaking. Thank you for believing in our students, valuing the arts, and helping us create a space where creativity can truly thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1762479953450,"projectUrl":"project/the-right-paper-makes-all-the-difference/9464383/","projectTitle":"The Right Paper Makes All the Difference","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mayer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10080164_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752593615427","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10080164"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_56928","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":282,"numTeachers":25,"percentFrplEligible":51,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":57,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":24,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"11.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":81.8,"schoolId":56928,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about East Antioch Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"East Antioch Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/shawnee-mission-school-district/east-antioch-elemenary-school/56928"}
