They are so excited to get their picture taken when it is their birthday and so excited to play board games during choice time. \r\n\r\nWe are currently working on multiplying and dividing for math and learning about the sea in science/literacy. We take our first unit math test on Friday! Wish them luck! We also have a squid dissection coming up. My students were so excited when they saw our new lights, document camera, and, of course, the snacks! The improved lighting has made our classroom feel more inviting, and the document camera has already transformed our lessons. We've used it for everything from modeling math problems to analyzing texts together, making learning more interactive and engaging. And the snacks? They've been a huge hit, giving students a little boost to stay focused and energized throughout the day!\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting moments was during a science lesson when students were able to see tiny experiment details up close. Their curiosity and enthusiasm soared! Moving forward, we'll use these tools to enhance our writing lessons, allowing students to share and revise their work collaboratively. This project has been such a special way to get to know my students at the beginning of the year. My students use their journals to write letters to me about anything they want, and it has been a very meaningful way to spark conversation. I feel as though I have learned so many new things about my students, and created a great relationship with them through the first half of the year.\r\n\r\nI have also used the supplies from this project as a way to add some brightness to my students' days, especially when they seem down.
