Our students have raised enough money to go on their field trip! While our students are extremely eager for their field trip, they are also learning essential skills that will forever make an impact. \r\n\r\nAll our students in our center-based program are working on communication. This is one of the primary skills our students practice and utilize while running the coffee cart. They are practicing making eye contact, greeting others, communicating needs, and so much more. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, our students are learning/practicing math skills and concepts such as addition, subtraction, and counting money. While these are skills they learn in the classroom, these are skills that they can now apply in a real-world setting. \r\n\r\nWhile this project got us started, we are excited to continue this work and expand the project to our students in our mild/moderate program.
