This winter season was markedly colder than the winters are used to here in New York City, and the coats were desperately needed to survive the brutal stretch of 20-degree days we endured for over a month. Luckily, the winter coats you helped us purchase came right in time!\r\n Our scholars were so happy to receive brand new winter jackets. They all smiled and were so grateful to have such quality winter gear! One middle school scholar even did a mini fashion show. The scholars felt appreciated and truly cared for. \r\n The academic impact was felt immediately. The scholars' attendance improved as they were actually prepared for the weather getting to and from school. Their consistent attendance translated into better academic performance as they were present for important lessons and projects.\r\n At Eagle, we have a saying: we are more than a school, we are family.
