Their excitement is spreading as they learn more about Germany and people who have lived in country. So many students are excited to read the historical novels that are now in our library along side the children's books that many of my first year German students grab to read. Language books are grabbed to peruse at the end of the class periods. My students were thrilled as packages came in and they saw the instruments getting lined up and were beaming with anticipation as the sounds of me testing the equipment echoed in the halls.\r\n\r\nThese students are very excited to put the work into learning how to play songs they hear on the radio and on their playlists (or parents playlists). We have already made a class playlist of songs that we can all agree to listen to and has multiple parts that students will want to learn how to play.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to create a rockin' version of a Christmas song to play at our annual winter concert.
