We started with the USA and then talked about the continents and oceans. We have learned all about maps and the compass rose. \r\nLet the Adventure Begin!!!\r\nIn October we traveled to Mexico learning about Mexico City, they loved listening to the Mariachi bands and celebrating the Day of the Dead. Together they tried guacamole and cheese quesadillas. We have also been to Italy this year learning all about the Tower of Piza and its capital city of Rome. They really enjoyed talking about the gladiators and we read Vacation Under the Volcano by Mary Pope Osborne all about the lost city of Pompeii. We celebrated with pizza of course. This month in honor of St. Patrick's Day we have talked about Ireland and listen to a lot of folklore, watched Irish step dancing, learned about Dublin and Northern Ireland. We have had a lot of fun filling out our passports with interesting facts and each country has brought a unique gift for them provided by you! We are wrapping up Ireland by enjoying corned beef with cabbage, carrots, and Irish soda bread! Our leprechaun has already dug int our soda bread and made a mess of our room but that's okay its juts the Luck of the Irish, I guess!
