When the students saw the 20 new Lego kits they now get to choose from during club time, their excitement filled the room. There were smiles, cheers, and high-fives all around as they explored the new projects. One student even grabbed his head in complete shock as he looked over all the available kits! It was such a joyful moment to see their enthusiasm and gratitude. Your donations immediately created an atmosphere of excitement and possibility for our students.\r\n\r\nThese kits will make a lasting difference for our Lego Club. In the past, some students stopped attending because purchasing their own kits had become too costly for their families. Thanks to your generosity, students can now continue coming to club to build, create, problem-solve, and socialize with their peers. Once a student completes a project, we will proudly display it in the school library for a week along with a photo of the student and their creation. The students will take the photo home to share with their families, and the Lego set will be carefully unassembled so another club member can enjoy building it in the future. Because of you, these kits will be used and reused for years to come, inspiring creativity and collaboration for many students. Thank you for making this opportunity possible for our school community.","fullyFundedDate":1771008360425,"projectUrl":"project/lego-club-support-for-our-builders-and-t/9898806/","projectTitle":"LEGO Club Support for Our Builders and Their Families","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Prorok","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10352087"},{"teacherId":9348699,"projectId":7986708,"letterContent":"Thank you for your extreme generosity in providing our students with updated sensory equipment. It is now January 2026, and every donation is still in use daily at our school. We often use the sensory room to help students decompress and refocus. It is s space that they feel safe to explore to help them be successful in the classroom. Many students have walked into this space for the first time simply saying, \"Wow!\" as they scan the room. For those who do not speak yet, they have showed their gratitude through eagerly using the equipment with a smile. There is something beneficial for every student in this space which makes it so special. \r\n\r\nThe next steps for this project have been to provide sensory materials that our teachers can bring to their classrooms for use. Many of these materials include alternative seating and sensory bins. The students also have a schedule of the specific sensory circuit that they follow, allowing us the opportunity to foster independence as they navigate this space. \r\n\r\nThank you, sincerely, for your kindness and support.","fullyFundedDate":1709351839658,"projectUrl":"project/eagle-sensory-room/7986708/","projectTitle":"Eagle Sensory Room","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rozek","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9348699"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_26150","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":567,"numTeachers":48,"percentFrplEligible":19,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":72,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":12,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"11.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":78.6,"schoolId":26150,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Dr Julian Rogus Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Dr Julian Rogus Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/summit-hill-school-district-161/dr-julian-rogus-elementary-school/26150"}
