The ChompSaw has generated so much excitement and creativity in our makerspace. Students are mastering how to cut straight lines and are moving on to curves and more complex designs. We've had students create three dimensional boxes using pieces cut on the ChompSaw. Others are making intricate cut pieces. My students had the time of their life making bracelets as a STEAM activity in our music class. Students learned about the Rondo form in music, ABACA, which teaches students how they can create three different sections of music and combine it. Students practiced as a class to perform, create, and share their rondo creations using rhythms, instruments, and body percussion. \r\n\r\n As a creative way to end our Rondo unit, students then got to create their own rondo friendship bracelet using supplies from this donors choose project. Students got to pick three different bead colors to symbolize the three sections of rondo music, as well as the letter beads A B A C A and then got to create their own bracelet. \r\n\r\nStudents LOVED the opportunity to create this project and I cannot thank you enough for funding this project. They still proudly wear their bracelets when they come to \r\nmusic.
