Our students come to the learning environment with a feeling of comfort. They are willing to take on new challenges in their learning space that is filled with calming lights, opportunities to explore their world with hands on items, and an awareness of where they can find the items that are needed due to the organization they've been involved with. As students feel a sense of dysregulation, they are given an opportunity to utilize tools and spaces that have items such as playdoh, softer lighting, high interest books and a feeling of belonging in the comfortable space.
