The laughter, engagement, and excitement these books bring to our classroom makes reading even more joyful for my students.\r\n\r\nWe are also so grateful for the cozy and inspiring additions to our classroom space. The bean bag chair has become a beloved spot in our reading corner where students love to curl up comfortably with a book. The twinkle lights beautifully highlight our vocabulary board, adding a little sparkle and warmth that makes learning feel extra special. The standing desk has been an amazing tool for student leadership—students love using it to lead morning meetings, teach lessons, and confidently step into leadership roles throughout the day. The flexible seating options have given students the ability to choose how and where they learn best, which has increased their comfort, focus, and independence in the classroom. Many of my students are now able to remain engaged in lessons and activities and participate more confidently in academic and social activities.\r\n\r\nThe weighted shoulder wraps have also made a meaningful difference in supporting emotional regulation and reducing anxiety. Students who previously struggled with restlessness or sensory overload are now calmer, more centered, and better able to manage transitions throughout the day. You could see the confidence grow as it finally \"clicked.\" These materials have made phonics more visual, interactive, and accessible for all of my learners.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, the students were beyond excited! They immediately wanted to touch, explore, and start building words. Many of them said it felt like a game, which made them even more eager to participate. Because of you, our students now have the tools they need to become successful readers and make meaningful progress toward their individual goals. Your contribution has truly made a difference in our learning community. \r\n\r\nWe are already using the new resources every day during our small-group instruction. Students enjoy working with hands-on materials like magnetic CVC photo objects, phonics games, sentence match sets, reading comprehension quickies, early language activity boxes, and phonemic awareness tools. These items allow students to practice letter sounds, blending, decoding, and word recognition in fun, engaging ways. One of my favorite classroom moments was seeing a student who usually struggles with reading finally light up when he blended sounds correctly using the magnetic manipulatives. That breakthrough was powerful—he felt proud, and his classmates cheered him on. \r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials arrive, their excitement was contagious. They immediately gathered around the bins, exploring the bright cards, games, and manipulatives with curiosity and joy. I heard comments like, \"Can we use this today?\" and \"This helps me feel like a real reader!\" Their enthusiasm has carried into each lesson, helping them stay engaged and eager to learn.\r\n\r\nNow that we've started using these resources, our next steps are to build on this momentum. We will continue integrating these tools into daily lessons as students work toward specific IEP goals in reading and literacy. Students will rotate through skill-focused stations, using the materials to strengthen decoding, sight word recognition, spelling patterns, and comprehension. I am already beginning to plan mini-assessments and progress check-ins so that we can celebrate growth and adjust our instruction with each student's needs in mind.\r\n\r\nYour support has given my students not just educational materials, but confidence, excitement, and hope. These resources have helped create a classroom environment where students can move, adjust, and learn in ways that work best for them.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement was immediate and contagious. Students' eyes lit up as they explored the new seating and tools, eagerly asking when they could try them out. Many shared how the seating helped them feel calmer or more focused, and others were excited to discover new ways to read, write, and express their ideas. It was clear that these resources made students feel valued and empowered to take ownership of their learning space.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building strong learning routines around these tools. As a lifelong bookworm I work hard to share my love of reading with my students. I run weekly book clubs and reading groups to encourage my students to read every chance they get. I keep space in our schedule for the students to read or write stories of their own. Our morning routine includes sharing and recommending books we have loved with the class to encourage others to pick them up. This has pushed even my reluctant readers to choose books they know their classmates have enjoyed and sparked conversations about characters and events.\r\n\r\nI have spent many years building my own classroom library but each year brings new students, new interests, and new books to love. I try to add as much as I can, but I am limited as to what I can provide. The books donated to our classroom are from authors I trust and my students love. I selected books and series that are of high interest and cover the many different reading levels of my students. The Who HQ biography series has opened the door to lessons on how individuals change the world through persistence and creativity. My fourth and fifth grade students are practicing research skills and comparing the accomplishments of scientists, inventors, and historical figures. These books have made nonfiction finally feel approachable. \r\n\r\nOur Who Would Win? series has been an instant favorite for my third grade students.
