It was also so much fun at Halloween to use Playdoh and a few other supplies for students to create individual creatures. My class really enjoyed looking at pictures of both of these memories from earlier this year.\r\n\r\nYou might be surprised to hear that my students love writing every year. We write every single day about a different topic. If we skip it one day, they are upset and want to know why we aren't. My students go through more than one writing notebook every year. \r\n\r\nAnother tool we use during writing is sticky notes. Students use these to try out their spelling of words they are unsure of. After they try out their spelling, they bring it to me to check it. As we use this strategy throughout the year, students are getting better at their spelling and try harder words. I love this for them to be more independent and confident.","fullyFundedDate":1778033530080,"projectUrl":"project/playdoh-sticky-notes-and-notebooks/10233531/","projectTitle":"Playdoh, Sticky Notes and Notebooks","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. DeLong","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4931420_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1516753387510","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-d-delong"},{"teacherId":4931420,"projectId":10236656,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support of our classroom. \r\n\r\nWe added to our supply of comfortable, durable headphones that students use every day for computer-based learning. One student remembered that her sister who was in my class two years ago got to take her crayons home that year. She was so hopeful that she would also be able to. With these new containers for next year's class, I was able to send their crayons and containers home with them the last day of school. \r\n\r\nCrayons are used across multiple subjects, allowing students to illustrate stories, demonstrate understanding of concepts, create visual representations of learning, and engage in hands-on activities. We use them daily. The storage containers keep the crayons from getting lost or broken. They are durable and last all year compared to the crayon boxes. Third graders switch classes during the day, and these containers are so great at transporting the crayons safely. \r\n\r\nWe are planning to use the pens during a newly implemented literacy practice in which students listen carefully to sentences and write what they hear. This activity strengthens listening comprehension, spelling and writing fluency. By using pens during dictation, students are encouraged to focus on accuracy and not worry about erasing mistakes. Third graders are excited to use pens and this definitely builds interest.","fullyFundedDate":1777989606973,"projectUrl":"project/colorful-tools/10233406/","projectTitle":"Colorful Tools","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. DeLong","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4931420_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1516753387510","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-d-delong"},{"teacherId":4931420,"projectId":10154069,"letterContent":"We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to our classroom library.
