I am teaching a remedial language arts class this year for 7th graders. They are all below level in different levels. This program is helping me address which area each student is struggling with. \r\n\r\nIn the IXl computer program students periodically take a diagnostic test to help place them in levels. This gives me great insight in to where I need to focus classroom instruction. Then we can work on problems together using the \"Group Jam\". This is where we can all work on a question together and I can find a way to instruct students about common misconceptions. It is really helping me address problem areas and see who is still struggling. \r\n\r\nDuring independent work, students work at their own level, but I can easily see who is not understanding a concept and can call them over to address problems they missed.
