Because we participate in the Erg Ed Rowing Unit through the George Pocock Rowing Foundation for two weeks each semester, our students were already familiar with the fundamentals of indoor rowing. However, having our own rowing machine has completely transformed what's possible. Now, students can continue practicing and building on what they learned during the Erg Ed unit throughout the entire semester — and even after school during our Fitness and Weight Lifting Club.\r\n\r\nThe rowing machine has quickly become one of the most popular pieces of equipment in the room. Students challenge themselves to improve their times and endurance, encouraging one another as they work toward personal goals. It's been especially rewarding to see students who might not usually participate in traditional team sports discover a new passion for rowing and fitness. One student even commented that they finally found an exercise that makes them feel both strong and confident.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, we can now keep the momentum of our Erg Ed program going year-round.
