The calculators allow them to enter linear equations and see their solutions and some of them have gone further, to quadratic equations, just to see what they look like or why I tell them they are not linear.\r\nThe students who seem to have benefitted the most are the very advanced students and the students who struggle the most. The advanced students are taking the next steps and exploring. The struggling students are able to see what I have been telling them, but with accuracy. Because of your kindness, our class now has access to high-quality resources that have made learning more engaging and meaningful. Having our own textbooks allowed us to explore the human body in depth and better understand how different systems work together.\r\n\r\nWe have especially used these textbooks to learn about genetics, including how traits are inherited and how DNA influences who we are. With this knowledge, we were able to complete a technology-free research project, using our textbooks to read, take notes, and analyze information independently. This experience strengthened our research and critical thinking skills, and it would not have been possible without your support. Students use the standing desk and stand on a wobble board and the ability to focus increases dramatically. \r\n\r\nI started by assembling 1 of the 2 because I didn't know if they would be a distraction, but quickly saw that they reduced behaviors and distractions in class.
