I truly believe this has contributed to improved attendance and overall student wellness. Even more meaningful is the sense of pride students now take in their classroom space — they are eager to help keep the Tech Lab clean and organized, which has fostered a stronger sense of respect and responsibility for their learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe batteries have been a tremendous help in keeping our technology tools running smoothly. Students have been able to power up our Robo-Mouse robots for coding lessons and ensure our broadcast microphones are ready for each segment of the Delano News. When the materials arrived, our sound technician immediately took initiative to organize and distribute the batteries in our sound room — a wonderful example of student leadership in action.\r\n\r\nThe addition of the HDMI splitter has been a true game-changer for our broadcasting team. It now allows the television in the sound room to mirror what's happening on the main news floor, improving communication, timing, and efficiency. Before this improvement, students had to peek out of the sound booth to stay in sync with the anchors — now they can seamlessly monitor and manage microphone cues in real time.\r\n\r\nOverall, this project has enhanced both the cleanliness and creativity of our learning environment. Most of their time is spent structured, sitting down to complete tasks and assignments. For students who need to move, sitting down can be a challenging task. The flexible seating gives my students the option to move and engage in simulations of movement without getting out of their seats. During a parent-teacher conference, I was talking to a parent whose child is diagnosed with ADHD, and she shared with me how impressed she was because I had flexible seating for her child. I was immediately thankful for the Donor's Choose donations. With the kwik-sticks students are able to create masterpieces more efficiently. The kwik-stix allows students the opportunity to mix colors and experiment with various art techniques related to painting with rapid results. Students have become more willing to try more art techniques as they create their masterpieces using the kwik-stix. \r\n \r\nThe students were so thrilled to see the wide array of colors that were provided and were excited to begin creating right away! So far, the students have created canvas paintings that illustrate their, \"one-word\" for the year. This word is what will guide them as we move throughout the school year on a positive note. Also, they worked cooperatively to create a background display that we will use for rotating projects. It was such a delight to see them take creative risks as they produce these works of art! \r\n\r\nI am looking forward to them uncovering more beautiful creations that will color our classroom beautiful! In addition, the students were able to display their creative writing centered around snow/snowflakes as well. Also, the students take more pride in what they do as they work toward various goals and rewards to earn, as they use their new pencils. They even involve their parents as they earn certain incentives!\r\n\r\nAs a next step, I'd like to engage the students creating a project, from scratch or by sharing feedback for changes that could be made to this project.
