These simple additions have made a big difference in how smoothly our labs run and how engaged the students are during hands-on activities.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were so excited to set up their lab spaces! They immediately noticed how the hula hoops helped keep each group's supplies neat and easy to find. The clipboards have become a favorite—they love being able to move around the room, observe, measure, and take notes without being tied to a single table.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment came during our recent engineering challenge. Students worked together to design and test structures, and thanks to the new setup, they could easily manage their materials and document their ideas on the go. It was wonderful to see them problem-solving, collaborating, and taking ownership of their learning space.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be using these tools as we begin a new series of STEM challenges focused on force and motion. I can't wait to see the creative ways my students continue to use the hula hoops and clipboards to organize their thinking and make discoveries.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting our STEM Lab and helping my students explore, create, and learn in such an engaging way!","fullyFundedDate":1754326283536,"projectUrl":"project/stem-lab-getting-it-done/9522878/","projectTitle":"STEM LAB: Getting It Done","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Simpson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10104960_orig.jpg?crop=2046,2046,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753997623235","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/k-6-stemlab"},{"teacherId":9637906,"projectId":9432114,"letterContent":"I cannot describe to you the pride I feel when my student gets up and goes and gets a dictionary and knows how to use it properly! They are pros now! \r\n \r\nAnother fun thing that was added to our class were several different Mad Libs. Some of these kids had never heard of them and I just had to expose them to this literary fun. They love them! And the fact that they are practicing and learning grammar is a bonus for us all. \r\n\r\nThe little things really make all the difference in a classroom for these students to excel in school and in life. Students are very eager to get to group to crack the code, learn about different parts of the world, and/ or invent the next best game for their class. They can see first hand how it helps them to more efficient with their work. \r\nThe construction paper and art materials are a great addition to our room. I try not to allow them on their ipads for free time, so instead, their brain breaks consist of art work. They create things they are very proud of and hang around the room or take home to mom and dad.\r\nSnacks, what can I say? We need snacks! No one likes a hangry kid and they definitely stay more focused when they are not hungry. Your support will and has made an incredible difference on our students.\r\n\r\nI personally was really excited when my materials arrived. As for my students, whom i meet with individually at this time, Their faces lit up with curiosity and excitement as as they browsed the books, games, and interactive activities. I cannot wait until I am able to utilize the resources in whole class guidance. \r\n\r\nOne particular moment that stood out was when I used the role-playing cards to act out different scenarios related to bullying and social situations. Several Students and I were able to step into different roles and perspectives which helped them develop a deeper understanding of how their words and actions impact others. All my kids thus far have throughly enjoyed the activities in our one on one time. \r\n\r\nAs we move forward, our next steps involve using the resources during whole group guidance time and hopefully launching a student-led anti-bullying campaign within the school. Students will create posters and presentations for younger grades. These activities will allow them to apply what they have learned and make a real difference in our school culture. Thanks to your generosity, they now have the tools and knowledge to be leaders in kindness and inclusion.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly been a gift to our school.
