My students were counting the weeks down until we began our Pixel projects. Their waiting paid off. There was so much engagement from our project that I ended up creating a few more mini projects for their lessons. The amount of engagement even turned some of my reluctant students around to create fantastic projects and immediately I saw a change in their word status as a result. I am already planning to expand our pixels to other classes and I have other classes that normal don't use them asking \"when are we going to start.\" It's been so transformative, and I want to thank everyone who made this possible. We have a bright future ahead and it would not have been possible if not for everyone here. Thank you again for getting us these much needed supplies for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1755608559293,"projectUrl":"project/the-pixel-classroom-goes-to-high-school/9303899/","projectTitle":"The Pixel Classroom Goes to High School","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Read","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2935102_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1471712862776","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/readsteam"},{"teacherId":5289675,"projectId":8732716,"letterContent":"Your contributions to our Empathy and Compassion unit were extremely helpful. The students enjoyed the card creation kit very much. They created cards for their teachers as well as classmates. This was the perfect time for teacher appreciation week! The empathy book was the perfect addition to kindness week, which we talked alot about empathy and what it meant. I want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of The City of Ember books. Your support plays a vital role in enhancing our students' reading experiences and fostering a love for literature.\r\nThe addition of these books to our library will undoubtedly inspire our young readers and spark their imagination. The City of Ember presents a unique blend of adventure and discovery, encouraging students to think critically and creatively about the world around them. We are excited to see how these stories will captivate our students and motivate them to explore new ideas.\r\nYour commitment to our school and its students is truly commendable. It is through the generosity of families like yours that we can continue to provide enriching educational resources and experiences. We are fortunate to have a supportive community that values education and recognizes the importance of fostering a reading culture among our children.\r\nThank you once again for your thoughtful contribution. There was much exclaiming, and \"When are we going to use this?\". There was also some hesitation because there were new supplies that the students have probably never seen, such as oil pastels.\r\n\r\nWe used watercolor supplies to enforce our social studies lesson on Japan. Students selected from different Japanese compositions, learned to trace and transfer, and then paint the image.
