I developed this project last spring. At that time, I was teaching middle school ELA, but had been approved to move to 4th for the fall...and that is where I am right now. This project provided all of the materials necessary for a year's worth of science curricula. The science program we use is Mystery Science. Mystery Science is an online, standards-aligned science curriculum for elementary grades K-5 that uses engaging, \"open-and-go\" video lessons to help children learn science through hands-on activities and storytelling. The materials for each lesson are simple, but having them all at arm's reach has already been a dream. Having this table a part of the 3rd grade classroom has made a huge impact on the success of small groups and allowing students the opportunity to work on a surface that can be catered to their needs. This table has been used in many settings specifically math, but has also served a purpose in tapping out sounds to spell words, having a quieter work space during tests, and a place where students can go if they feel like just need a bigger place to work. \r\n\r\nSome students in my classroom have stated:\r\n\r\n\"This table is really good and if we didn't have this table we couldn't do school or and the teacher couldn't correct our work. This has been a huge help.\"\r\n\r\n\"Thank you for buying the table for this class, it helps students for the past school year.\"\r\n\r\n\"Thank you for donating money for all our people in our school, it is very kind and we are so thankful.
