Because of your kindness, my students will have the opportunity to use jigsaw puzzles as a fun and meaningful way to practice teamwork, communication, patience, problem-solving, and perseverance. These activities has encouraged students to listen to one another, share ideas, work through challenges, and recognize the important role each person plays on a team. The storage bins has help us keep our puzzles organized for continued use, and the small treats has given us a fun way to celebrate positive collaboration and effort.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is helping us create much more than a classroom activity, you are helping us build a stronger classroom community. As students work together piece by piece, they also build relationships, confidence, and a sense of belonging. These experiences is helping set a positive tone for our school year and remind students that, just like every piece of a puzzle, every person has something valuable to contribute. Because of you, my students are enjoying the snacks as part of our daily routines and afterschool enrichment time. We use them as incentives to encourage participation, completion of assignments, and positive behavior during our rigorous dual language Spanish lessons. For example, during a recent class activity, students worked in pairs to practice speaking in Spanish, and they earned snacks for actively participating and using complete sentences. It was wonderful to see them motivated and engaged.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the snacks, their faces lit up with excitement! They were so grateful and immediately felt encouraged to work harder and stay focused. It created a positive and energetic atmosphere in the classroom.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue building on this momentum by using these incentives to support our current lessons, including speaking, reading, and writing activities in Spanish. Students will work on collaborative projects and presentations, and the snacks will continue to motivate them to stay engaged, practice their language skills, and give their best effort each day.\r\nThank you again for making such a meaningful difference in our classroom. Because of your generosity, my 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students are able to share these books and read them together during class. This text has opened the door to rich discussions about immigration, family, perseverance, and cultural identity. Through it, students are practicing essential literacy skills such as making inferences, analyzing character motivations, identifying themes, and making meaningful connections between the text and their own lived experiences.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading has become an active, vibrant experience. We have whole group discussions and work in small groups where students share their insights about Panchito's journey and how it mirrors their own families' stories. I often see students leaning in during read-alouds, eager to hear what will happen next. Students like to share their own family experiences and make connections to Francisco's family. These moments have transformed our classroom into a community of readers who feel connected, seen, and engaged.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has done more than place books in our classroom, it has created a shared reading experience that builds confidence, strengthens identity, and fosters a deeper love for literature.
