The kiddos tracked the day-to-day changes in the butterfly's life cycle, drew their observations, and finally watched them take flight when we released them. \r\n\r\nAs we wrap up the school year, we can't wait to end on a high note by reading a special book about kites and flying them together. So, these supplies are not only appreciated, but integral to my classroom.\r\n\r\nTo learn about color theory, we made tiny scales with paint and obviously white paint took a hit. They were so worried they wouldn't have any more white paint, but you came through before that happened. Now my scholars beg to paint and cheer whenever I announce painting as an option. Bobs books has a variety of books that allows each child to have their own book during small groups. Our scholars are learning phonemic awareness, rhyming, spelling and early literacy skills that will allow them to be successful in kindergarten. The writing supplies is allowing them to learn to write and form letters. The journals are allowing them to build creative thinking and story telling skills. Our scholars are so excited during small group because of your donation. \r\n\r\nIn our classroom we read as a whole group and do literacy activities as a whole group. In the afternoon, we facilitate small group literacy lessons and this is where the bulk of the learning and resources are needed. Small groups are three rotating stations, phonemic awareness, comprehension and a writing station.
