As a 4th-grade teacher, I had the joy of watching my students become deeply engaged, inspired, and transformed through this powerful story.\r\nFrom the very first chapter, The Wild Robot captivated my students—many of whom had previously struggled to find joy in reading. Roz's journey of survival, connection, and change opened the door to meaningful conversations about empathy, perseverance, and identity. Through this book, we explored character development, theme, and figurative language in a way that was both accessible and deeply engaging.\r\nThe opportunity to compare the book to the movie brought a whole new level of excitement to the classroom. My students learned how to think critically about storytelling across different mediums and express their preferences and insights with confidence. Even my most reluctant readers found themselves eagerly turning pages and begging for \"just one more chapter.\"\r\nThanks to The Wild Robot, I was able to reach readers who used to say, \"I don't like books,\" and help them realize that they just hadn't found the right story yet. This experience has not only improved their reading skills but has fostered a genuine love for literature that I believe will last for years to come.\r\nThank you for supporting programs and literature that truly make a difference in classrooms like mine. Your generosity helps ignite a passion for reading in the hearts of children, and for that, I am deeply thankful.","fullyFundedDate":1750173079263,"projectUrl":"project/4th-grade-novel-study/9395554/","projectTitle":"4th Grade Novel Study","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Skipper","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7829324_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749045455315","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7829324"},{"teacherId":5525824,"projectId":9556257,"letterContent":"Thank you all so much for donating to our classroom!
