Our students were beyond excited to hear that this project was funded for them. Many parents even thanked us teachers for ensuring that all students got to participate and that parents did not need to provide any supplies.\r\n\r\nDuring our tie dye event at school, I heard one student remark, \"This is so awesome!\" All students were engaged and had a blast. Many of the students admitted that this was their first time getting to tie dye.\r\n\r\nField day was amazing. 5th grade was easy to find on the field with all the different tie dye patterns. This project left a lasting social and emotional impact on our students. This means each student uses a Chromebook each day, and they do not have to share it with anyone else. Chromebooks are used to reinforce skills learned in class. We use the Chromebooks to access our reading, math and science curriculum, and we also use them to access MyOn (a digital library of books that students can read or have read to them). With these devices, students have the ability to receive differentiated supports to help make them more successful in reading and math. However without the use of headphones, they can't access these supports. Your generous donations helped get a pair of headphones into the hands of our students.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your amazing generosity and thinking of my students. They have helped us learn many different skills and gain more knowledge. The students especially found joy in the Stack & Match Magnet rings creating patterns and seeing the cause and effect of the magnets. They also used the googles frequently pretending to be a scientist and dentist. The Brush Demonstration Kit helped us learned about the importance oral health. The students loved brushing and flossing the teeth model! Lastly, the students enjoyed the STEAM Lab Color Science Kit.
