When the materials arrived and were shown to the scholars, they were excited, particularly about the recorder, and eager to start playing; however, since we were preparing for our Holiday production, I told my scholars that we would start in the new year. I consistently reminded them weekly that we would start playing the recorder in the new year. As you can imagine, they did not let me forget. As of January 5, 2026, my third-grade scholars are learning to play the recorder. I have noticed a fresh excitement and a strong willingness to learn their fingering and notes, which reflects their growing enthusiasm. Moreover, a few of my scholars who require special classroom accommodations have improved significantly in the focus and completion of activities since the instrument was introduced.\r\n\r\nThank you for your generosity, which has a long-lasting impact on our scholars' lives. The only regret is that I did not request another 40 recorders, because my fourth-grade scholars are asking to play them. Additionally, many scholars expressed a desire to play the drum after a live presentation at the school. Our next project is to provide drum classes for our scholars. It would be tremendous for our scholars to have drum pads and sticks (70 drum pads). Donors, please know that your contribution has a long-lasting impact on the lives of our scholars. On behalf of our school community, thank you for your continued support and for helping us meet these future needs.","fullyFundedDate":1760693776684,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-students-through-music/9631211/","projectTitle":"Empowering Students Through Music","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Seedarnee","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10197911_orig.jpg?crop=1080,1080,x0,y179&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756138725771","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10197911"},{"teacherId":10197884,"projectId":9631202,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous support!
