I notice that these books are books that many students reach for in my classroom library. Students are able to take out different books and explore different topics in the mornings in my classroom. They each have days of the week where I allow them to check out new books from our classroom library. This year in particular they have frequently reminded me that it is their day to check out new books. \r\n\r\nA majority of my classroom enjoys these new books. I notice that many of my struggling readers are pushing themselves to try to decode the words in these books. My students as a whole enjoy the illustrations and are able to look at characters that look like themselves.
