They were very excited when it came in & we set it up right away. Because of our overwhelming numbers for the students needing to work on the wheels this semester, having this extra wheel saved them a lot of stress having to worry about finding time to be on the wheel. We usually have to do a rotation schedule to share the wheels, which we did still need to do, but we had more students than the rotation allowed, so having that one extra wheel made the rotation work smoothly.\r\n\r\nThe level 2 ceramics students are learning basics on the wheel, so since they are just starting it usually requires a lot of extra time & practice. Having this extra wheel allowed for them all to get that extra practice time without having to be left out for too long. We are still in the middle of our semester, but they have all successfully made 4 cups each, & are now working on learning bowls (2 different types) as well as footrings (again, 2 different types) for those bowls.\r\n\r\nI'm really hoping to continue to grow the ceramics program & this was a great start! Again thank you so very much for all the donations!!!","fullyFundedDate":1739984979227,"projectUrl":"project/take-a-spin-in-ceramics/9107114/","projectTitle":"Take a Spin in Ceramics!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Stomack","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8472188_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756586598432","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-stomack"},{"teacherId":7759723,"projectId":8635508,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting my Donors Choose project of Ink it Up!\r\n\r\nHaving access to a fast and efficient printer in the classroom helps me to need the needs of my students on a daily basis. Our school system is on a one-to-one technology ratio, so students learn in a mostly digital world. However, this does not best suit the needs of everyone's learning style. The line for the copy machine in the front office, far from my classroom can be long and tedious. Having a printer in my room to make copies upon request for students is amazing. Rather than waste minutes of my planning period making copies students may never use, I can print materials by request as the need arises for students based on their interest or my observation of what works best for their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1733417539445,"projectUrl":"project/ink-it-up/8635508/","projectTitle":"Ink it Up!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Iseler","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7759723_orig.jpg?crop=1626,1626,x0,y86&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1673554754749","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7759723"},{"teacherId":8472188,"projectId":7399818,"letterContent":"First, my apologies for my delay in response. We had a slight scheduling conflict that occurred and I was no longer teaching the MVaR course, but the teacher that took over did utilize our books.\r\n\r\nOf course, the students were not entirely enthusiastic about having a book to read, but they enjoyed many of the activities that we tied to the information being covered in the books. This is a very active group and class, so they were not really anticipating having to do reading.\r\n\r\nStudents learned some new techniques for time management and event planning, as well as leadership and teambuilding skills.\r\n\r\nWe plan to further this program in the future and would love to continue building our leadership library.
