I love my students because they show up every day with honesty, curiosity, and a willingness to grow. They are thinkers, questioners, and problem-solvers who are not afraid to challenge ideas or support one another through learning. Even on difficult days, they demonstrate resilience and perseverance, reminding me that learning is as much about character as it is about content.\r\nWhen the supplies arrived, students were genuinely excited and appreciative. Many immediately noticed that our classroom felt more organized and cared for, and they were eager to help unpack and organize the materials. One meaningful moment came when students volunteered to help clean shared lab tables and classroom spaces before beginning group activities. They understood that keeping the classroom clean was not just the teacher's responsibility, but something we all contribute to as a community.\r\nThe disinfecting wipes and spray have helped create a healthier classroom environment where students can focus more on learning and less on concerns about germs or illness. The towels have encouraged students to take shared responsibility for maintaining our learning space, reinforcing accountability, teamwork, and pride in our classroom community.","fullyFundedDate":1772550438866,"projectUrl":"project/prepared-spaces-powerful-learning/10006102/","projectTitle":"Prepared Spaces, Powerful Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lee","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp132354_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1574800152605","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/tameshia-farley"},{"teacherId":132354,"projectId":9812924,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, my students are now able to experience science in a way that goes far beyond reading from a textbook. What I love most about my students is their curiosity and the ownership they take in their learning. They do not just want to learn about science, they want to experience it firsthand.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, students were thrilled. They immediately began asking questions about the upcoming lab and eagerly explored a frog model to identify organs and structures before the dissection even began. For many students, simply seeing the materials made the lesson feel more real and exciting. They could not wait to begin working like scientists.\r\n\r\nThese resources are already making a meaningful impact in our classroom. The frogs allow students to make hands-on discoveries while strengthening their understanding of comparative anatomy. The gloves and aprons help every student feel safe and comfortable, giving all learners the confidence to fully participate in the lab experience.\r\n\r\nThe dissection pins help students work carefully and precisely, reinforcing important lab techniques and attention to detail. The frog model has become an especially valuable tool because it gives students a reusable 3D visual aid to study before and after the dissection. It also provides an inclusive option for students who may not want to participate in the actual dissection but still want a meaningful hands-on learning experience.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue comparing body systems across different organisms and discussing how structure relates to function. They will use their observations to deepen their understanding of biology, build scientific vocabulary, and strengthen critical thinking skills through discussion and analysis.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students are not simply memorizing facts, they are exploring, questioning, and learning like real scientists. You have helped create meaningful learning experiences that will inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of science. Thank you for making this possible for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1764783390282,"projectUrl":"project/leap-into-learning-exploring-life-throu/9812924/","projectTitle":"Leap Into Learning: Exploring Life Through Frog Dissection","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lee","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp132354_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1574800152605","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/tameshia-farley"},{"teacherId":132354,"projectId":9564967,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting our Science and Engineering Fair. Because of your generosity, our students are able to explore their curiosity, creativity, and determination in meaningful ways.\r\nYour contribution helped provide essential materials such as tri-fold display boards, certificates and ribbons to celebrate student achievements, posters to promote the fair throughout the school, and agar plates and other experiment supplies that allow students to engage in hands-on scientific investigation. These resources make a tremendous difference in helping our students not only complete a project, but truly experience what it means to think and work like scientists.\r\nDuring the fair, students proudly presented their research, experiments, and engineering designs. It was inspiring to see them explain their ideas, answer questions, and support one another's projects. Many of our scholars gained confidence as they shared their discoveries and realized that their ideas and hard work matter.\r\nYour support helped create an opportunity for students to practice critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication, skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom. Most importantly, you helped nurture a sense of pride and excitement about learning and discovery.\r\nOn behalf of our students and school community, thank you for investing in their curiosity and their future. With the addition of flexible seating, wobble stools, soft floor cushions, flexible chairs, and clipboards, we've transformed our science classroom into a more student-centered, engaging, and empowering learning environment.\r\nWhen students first walked into the room and saw the new materials, their excitement was instant. Many were amazed that they could choose their own seating and find places where they felt most comfortable and productive. Students with ADHD, ADD, and sensory needs immediately gravitated toward the wobble stools and cushions, expressing that they felt calmer, more focused, and more ready to learn. This setup has given them permission to learn in ways that honor their bodies and brains.\r\nWe are now preparing for an investigation on how environmental factors affect plant growth, and the flexible seating will again play a key role. Students will be able to move between indoor stations, collaborative groups, and our outdoor garden plots with ease, using their clipboards to collect data and sketch observations. This flexibility supports not just comfort but independence, students are taking greater ownership of both their learning spaces and their scientific work.\r\nYour generosity has helped create an active, inclusive, and adaptable classroom where every learner feels supported, engaged, and capable.
