Sixth graders are reading about the Revolutionary War. Eighth graders are reading Diary of a Young Girl and Night. The books that I was able to purchase from this project encompass these eras as well as other historical events. One of my goals for my students is to read choice fiction to connect with their classroom assigned reading. Our students who take online classes in the library go for the new chairs first and then settle for the old ones we need to replace if the new ones are already occupied. Students enjoy the ability to sit, spin the chair to the left or right if they need to, work on their classwork, read, and even just visit with a friend in the new chairs.\r\n\r\nI cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to make this possible. Our library looks so much more welcoming and inviting with new furniture that provides a comfortable place to sit, study, and hang out. From studying soil and plant cells under microscopes to using headphones for personalized lessons and virtual activities, these tools help students connect science and technology directly to agriculture while building real-world skills.
